William is diagnosed with Treacher Collins syndrome and his sister, Mari, is autistic. They were both adopted at a young age and are now siblings and best friends. Mari translates for her brother when others struggle to understand him. William returns the favor by providing his sister with a sense of calmness and stability. The two plan to support each other throughout life.
