Tony award winning director Kenny Leon sat down with Atlanta Voice Editor at-large Stan Washington to talk about Charles Fuller's classic play, "A Soldier's Play" which is fresh off Broadway and now on a 20-city national tour. The play will run in Atlanta from March 28 - April 2, 2023. This is part 1 of 3 parts. In this first clip, Leon who is an alum of Clark Atlanta University and co-founder of True Colors Theatre Company talks about why this play is a classic. In part 2, he gives a brief description of the play and in part 3 he talks about what's it like to direct for the stage, the big screen and the small screen.
