Hepatobiliary laparoscopic surgeries generally lead to complications such as biliary tree injury and bile leak. While ultrasonography and computed tomography are unreliable in detecting bile leaks, magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and MR cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) can provide both anatomical and functional information on the biliary system and, thus, help detect biliary leaks. In addition, MRCP can also help differentiate bile leaks from other postoperative complications.
To learn more about imaging of post-cholecystectomy bile leak, join the expert Radiologist, Dr. Venkatesh Kasi, and Gastroenterologist, Dr. Kumar Krishnan, in our informative webinar, organized in association with IAGES, on 29th June 2023, 8:30 PM IST onwards.
