How hard is changing your own oil in a C8 corvette? I set out to DIY changing the oil in my 2023 Stingray. It's normal to feel apprehensive when it comes to working on mid-engine and other complicated cars. You never know what gotchas may be in store for you. The factory service manual made the job sound straight forward and I'm pretty handy. In this video I'll show you the easiest way I found to change the oil in a C8 vette.

Some dealers want as much as $200-300 to do this vs. as cheap as $82 to DIY! You will need to buy at least 8 quarts of oil, I recommend buying at least two six packs. The jacking pads may seem like a pricey investment, but keep in mind not all service, oil, or tire centers work on C8 Corvettes routinely. Buying your own set of jacking pads and keeping them in the frunk is a good idea.
