In this episode of the Earnest Medicine Podcast we talk about the future of medicine and the status of healthcare from the perspective of emerging medical professional, Leanne Beasley.
As a student across a variety of institutions including the University of Missouri, Johns Hopkins, and the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Leanne has had the time and experience to more fully understand the medical path she wants to pursue.
As she takes the final steps in completing her medical training we discuss her experiences throughout her schooling, the doubt, the grit, and a host of other factors that every student faces on their journey to becoming a doctor.
We also explore some of the main differences that Dr. Brown and Leanne have faced and answer the question of whether we can chalk it up to a simple generational gap or if medicine and medical thinking within the traditional American healthcare structure has really changed much at all.
