For today's unboxing review we have for you the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS550, a three-row, V8-powered SUV that BMW has no answer for (yet). Powered by an awesome 4.7-liter bi-turbo V8 with 449 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, power goes to all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission. With the sole exception of the mighty G-Class, the GLS-Class is the best and most expensive Mercedes SUV you can buy right now. How expensive, exactly? Our tester has a sticker price of $97,715. OK, but what about the cheapest GLS model, the GLS450? Try $69,000. No matter what, it's not cheap. And that's just fine because there's very little not to like about the GLS-Class.

Performance, as expected, is also incredible. Try a 0-60 mph time of 5.2 seconds, and the thing weighs about 5,400 pounds! But performance isn't the GLS550's only strength. It comes with a ton of high-tech safety features and, yes, it can go off-roading (to a certain extent). But if you're looking for a luxury three-row SUV and are disappointed because BMW doesn't offer one and the Audi Q7 looks too much like a school bus, this is your answer. Enjoy the review!
