Here's our list of the most expensive cars ever made. Of course this will change in the near future.

• 10 - Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio

Starting at number 10, we have the Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio with a cost of $3 million. Ferrari built six units of the Sergio starting in 2015 and sold it to handpicked customers. It's unique aerodynamic design elements enable the car to accelerate from 0–62 mph, or 100 km/h, in 3.4 seconds. The Sergio is based on the mechanical underpinnings of the Ferrari 458 Spider.


• 9 - Limited Edition Bugatti Veyron by Mansory Vivere

At number 9 is the Limited Edition Bugatti Veyron by Mansory Vivere at $3.4 million. The Veyron Vivere is a limited edition build by legendary tuners Mansory. The company built just two, each with a carbon-fiber accented exterior, a black and white leather-and-carbon cabin, and a 1,200-horsepower Veyron engine underneath. Top speed is a staggering 254 miles per hour, or 408 kilometres per hour and can reach 60 miles per hour in just two and a half seconds.

• 8 - W Motors Lykan Hypersport

Our 8 spot on the list is W Motors Lykan Hypersport at $3.4 million. The Lykan Hypersport is a Lebanese limited production supercar manufactured by W Motors in United Arab Emirates. It is the first sports car to be designed and produced indigenously in the Middle East. The Lykan Hypersport has 420 diamonds encrusted in each headlight and a top speed of 240 mph.


• 7 - Lamborghini Sian

At number 7 we have the Lamborghini Sian at $3.6 million. The Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is a mid-engine hybrid sports car produced by Lamborghini. The name, meaning a flash of lightning in the Bolognese dialect, is significant as it is the first hybrid production vehicle produced by the brand. The total power output amounts to 602 kilowatts, or 807 horsepower, making the Sián the most powerful production Lamborghini automobile.


• 6 - Lamborghini Veneno

Coming in at number 6 is the Lamborghini Veneno $4.5 million. Based on the Lamborghini Aventador, the Veneno was developed to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. The design of the Veneno is a large departure from the previous styling of Lamborghini models as it is inspired by sports prototypes and racing cars. Only nine units of the roadster were produced.


• 5 - Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita

Halfway through our list at spot number 5 is the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita at $4.8 million. It has a limited edition diamond weave carbon fibre finish. Initially, three CCXR Trevitas were planned to be produced, however, because of the complexity to make the special diamond weave carbon-fibre, only 2 were ever made. The previous owner of the one specced to be street legal in the United States is boxer Floyd Mayweather.


• 4 - Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero

At number 4 is the Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero at $8 million. It is a one-off. Commissioned by Fulda, a German subsidiary of Goodyear, to test its new tires. Mercedes built the Exelero on the base of a Maybach, and gave it the same twin-turbo V12 engine producing 690 horsepower. According to Top Gear, the vehicle was purchased by rapper Birdman in 2011.


• 3 - Bugatti Centodieci

Coming in at number 3 is the Bugatti Centodieci at $8.9 million. The car is an homage to the Bugatti EB110 and a celebration of Bugatti’s 110th birthday. Production of the Centodieci will be limited to 10 units. The Centodieci is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h, or 62 miles per hour, in 2.4 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to 380 kilometers per hour, or 240 miles per hour.


• 2 - Rolls Royce Sweptail

The number two spot on our list is the Rolls-Royce Sweptail at $13 million. It is a one-off large luxury car made in the United Kingdom by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. At the time of its May 2017 debut it was the most expensive new automobile in the world. The Rolls-Royce Sweptail is hand-built, and inspired by coachbuilding of the 1920s and 1930s.


• 1 - Bugatti La Voiture Noire

Finally, the most expensive new car as of 2020 is the Bugatti La Voiture Noire at $19 million. Introduced in 2019, the car is a one off and pays subtle tribute to the Type 57 Atlantic. It is powered by a quad-turbo W-16 engine giving the car an astounding 1479 horsepower. The car has a hand-built body made from carbon fibre designed by Bugatti designer Etienne Salomé. Performance figures remain unknown as the final product will take two and a half years to complete.
