Day 1 of our trip to La Paz was a travel day. We flew from Texas to Phoenix, then on to Los Cabos, where we rented a car from Cactus car rentals and then drove about 2.5 hours north to the capital city of La Paz. (We got up at 3:00am and were exhausted by the end of this long day.)
The road was washed out like this twice on the way, but both times it was passable. We stayed at the Hyatt Place La Paz and have nothing but good to say about it! It was perfectly located between the Malecon and Playa Balandra. Breakfast was always yummy and the room was very clean. We had to rest up because the next morning was our first whale shark swim!
