It is one of the most dangerous areas in the world. The Pakistanis call it Talibanistan, the land of the Taliban. In the north-west of Pakistan, a huge region escapes the control of the government. It is in these mountains that some of the Taliban who are fighting the West in Afghanistan come to take refuge. This report takes us beyond the Pakistani army checkpoints which prohibit access to journalists and foreigners. The region is self-managed by clan leaders in the cult of arms and honor, according to codes worthy of the Middle Ages.
