During hockey practice, we always try to make tape to tape passes to our teammates. However, in pressure situations during games, the puck often doesn't come directly to us, but goes around the boards, a so-called "rim".

Rims are difficult to control, but picking them up quickly is an extremely important skill to learn; it can mean the difference between breaking out of your own end, or giving the opponent a scoring chance.

In this video, JZ (Julia Zorn, retired captain of the German National Team) and I show you how to pick up a rim in you own zone. Have fun practicing!
