Amazon Prime’s jet black satire and dark parody of the superhero genre, The Boys, is often seen as a refreshing and unique look at other superhero TV shows, with the main focus being- what would superheroes look like if they were actually the villains? The Boys’ over the top violence, dark and controversial lines, and constant swearing quickly separates it from the rest of the pack and is certainly unsuitable for the family friendly superhero shows we most commonly see. But that doesn’t mean The Boys doesn’t take inspiration from these shows- one of which is the highly popular CW show ‘the Flash’, based off of the DC character of the same name.

In this video we will take a look at some of the striking parallels between Prime’s The Boys and CW’s The Flash, as despite their vast differences and very different presentations of the superhero genre, there are some common points they share together.
