In this video I'm sharing a tip to help you build a better D&D world. One of the best things about D&D, or any TTRPG is the freedom to build your own world! Sometimes it can be difficult to know where to begin, how much history to write, and how much to prep. I recently finished reading the Fall of Numenor by JRR Tolkien (actually by his son's editor), and it got me thinking about my own world building, and where to begin. One of the big takeaways was that Tolkien started at the beginning, with the creation myth of his world. And that's where I think you should start writing your dungeons and dragons fifth edition world, the beginning. Starting with a creation myth in your dnd 5e world or pathfinder world can help you lay a strong foundation, that can help you make more logical story decisions throughout your campaign.
