Neuralink is a mind machine interface by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk. It sticks a thousand thread-like probes into your head in order to read signals from your brain.

This has huge implications in allowing people with paralysis or amputated limbs to use controllers and robotic prosthetics.

But that’s not quite why Elon Musk is all in on Neuralink. His fear of a runaway AI explosion has driven him to pursue a symbiosis of humans and computers, which is the only way, he believes, we can come along for the ride.
