Success in most things requires some patience and learning to find gold is no different. Once a new prospector discovers finding gold is not a simple and easy task that that requires no effort at all, far too many prospectors simply give up. This happens before they have acquired the necessary skills to succeed. To succeed, you need to enjoy the journey. You need to be confident that some good gold is just around the corner. You need the persistence to hang in there and not give up. If you work at it, in time you will develop the skills you need to be successful at gold prospecting.
