We all know that Emma Watson was the perfect Belle in “Beauty and the Beast” 2017, but did you know that the “Harry Potter” actor was first approached to play a different member of the Disney Princesses lineup? The actor behind Hermione Granger was asked to sign up to the “Cinderella” live action movie, but she turned down the role. Fortunately, she was much more keen to be a part of the “Beauty and the Beast” remake, so we still got to see her as one of the live action Disney Princesses. But we’re still intrigued about what she would have looked like as Cinderella. So we’ve created this Photoshop reimagined video to show you just what would have happened if Emma hadn’t rejected the role.
Of course, Lily James was amazing in “Cinderella” 2015. But we can’t help but wonder how Emma would have looked in that big, blue ball gown. And we’re not the only ones recasting Disney Princesses. The tale of the glass slipper and the Fairy Godmother is just too good to leave at one reboot. So Sony’s making another live action version. This one stars Camila Cabello in the lead role. What do you think of that? Hit that play button to discover exactly why Emma didn’t think Cinders was a good fit, and how Lily actually brought the spirit of Belle to her performance, plus get the juicy deets on “Cinderella” 2021.
