This is a simple process, USING GLOVES, 1 gallon of water for example. About 3oz of 100% lye. Pure powder. Cold water always, introduce lye while stirring. Let it get absorbed. About 5 to 10 minutes. Agitate water with stick avery 10 minutes. And scrub the product with soft brissel or stiff, after 15 to 20 minutes of soaking. Do not let it soak over 45 minutes. Aluminum will burn. Rinse product with cold water throughly and use cat litter to absorb the waste water. Bag up and send to proper place for dscarding. Very volatile. But. You can dump in your sink drain. It also is a drain opener. Very caustic to skin though.
