If you haven't gone through getting all the money, sex, fame and success that you wanted in your life, then jumping right to this stage where you renounce 80% of everything will be incredibly difficult, or downright impossible. It may aggravate your depression. Make sure you get all your material needs met before you attempt this.

The way of life that I describe in this video may sound a bit extreme to some. This is a way of minimalism that is more extreme than what most people can tolerate and for this reason may actually make you feel worse unless you are prepared for this kind of lifestyle or are naturally inclined towards it.

The advice will change depending on which part of the world you live in and your current social/family obligations. This advice presumes that you live in a first-world country and are already well off.
