I met up with @KrokemOutdoors and @TrailNewbie to visit the Oregon coast and do some dispersed camping among the sand dunes in Coos Bay before visiting the Mount Hood area in the snow. It was quite remarkable to travel from the beach to the snow in one day. I had never been to the Timberline Lodge where the movie "The Shining" was filmed (exterior shots), what an incredible location! Also great to see Ed and the new improvements to his Jeep Dusty - what a beast! Oregon is such a beautiful state I cannot wait to return!
