Human relationships with money and work can either obstruct or promote change. Reiterating the power of human connection allows us to generate a new, pragmatic era of diverse, impactful, and inclusive venture capital, in order to unlock idle wealth, replace harmful jobs, and catalyse the vital change we want to bring into the world. Oliver Bonallack is a politics student currently exploring pragmatic change-making and ethics within the venture capital arena. Having founded Collective VC, he is interested in community knowledge building around impact investment, and alternative investment models that leverage human connection for societal progress. He is enthusiastic about unlocking stagnant wealth, maximising impact additionality, and decoupling financial compensation from societal harm.
