These Characters Are Much More Alike Than You Thought

Comparing and contrasting characters is a nerd tradition that dates back to the earliest comic book shops. Partly because many of the early publishers were almost directly copying their competitors’ ideas. Well, it turns out that tradition continues today in movies and television. No fictional character is without a rival. Heck, Mickey Mouse, and Spongebob are titans of their corporations, but that’s not a compelling comparison. This video is for the ones you hardly ever think about or tend to overlook.

Of course, you know that Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor were both characters in James Cameron movies, so they’re bound to be alike. However, did you ever stop to consider how exactly they’re the same? That’s one of the points I’m trying to make here, especially with known similar characters; I’m talking about Han Solo and Star-Lord, Legolas and Hawkeye, or even Loki and The Joker. We know they feel identical, but I’m about to put some description to those feelings.

I’m happy to say this video will take a nice detour down a wild road outside the usuals. Seriously, things are gonna get weird. Just try to figure out what James Bond and Thor have in common or Terminator and Groot. Yeah, see, that’s why you need to catch this video. Otherwise, you’ll never discover the answer. Was that not enough? Okay, I even managed to find some incredible similarities between Scott Pilgrim and Harry Potter. How about them apples?

It’s all here for you to check out and debate, because let’s be honest, disagreeing on these takes is also a tradition too.
