Did you know Snowpiercer’s bizarre fish scene almost never happened? It wasn’t in the original script, and director Bong Joon-Ho came up with it in storyboards as a way of referencing primitive intimidation tactics. But Harvey Weinstein wanted the scene removed in favor of a longer action scene. Bong explained that he included the scene as a tribute to his late father, who was a fisherman, so Weinstein relented and let him keep it in. Bong would later admit in interviews that the story about his father was simply a lie to keep Weinstein from interfering with his movie.
