2020 Chevrolet Silverado with 3.0l Duramax Diesel engine towing a flatbed trailer with a load and a camper, total weight of truck and trailer was 14,480lbs and 13,160lbs respectively. Flatbed with load was 8,700lbs and the camper weight is 7,380lbs. This video shows 0-60mph runs and data per the SAE J2807 towing standard. I have included a comparison at the end of the video of my 2016 Chevrolet Colorado with the 2.8l Duramax engine towing the same trailer. All weight limits are within the manufacture specifications, GCWR for the truck with a trailer is 15,000lbs for the Silverado and 12,700lbs for the Colorado. Max axle rating for the Silverado is 3,800lbs both front and rear, Colorado is 3,400lbs front axle and 3,500lbs rear axle. Max trailer weight is 9,300lbs for the Silverado and 7,600lbs for the Colorado.
