We're here on a Greenline 48 hybrid yacht with electric motors and solar panels. All Greenline hybrid yachts operate as an electric boat, with an electric yacht motor that also acts a a generator, solar panels, and AC power onboard. The solar panels help this vessel become a solar yacht, and the hybrid system allows for efficient low speed electric propulsion with a running cost about 10 times lower than burning diesel fuel.

On the Greenline 48 we have two Volvo diesels, two 14 kilowatt electric motors that turn into 10 kilowatt generators so whenever you move with diesels your electric units regenerate power to recharge the battery. The concept of solar on a boat makes sense, and panels on the roof also recharge the batteries. The yacht interior is luxurious and gets a good review, and we perform a walkthrough interior tour like a boat show. It is a great example of yacht life, with the extra element of being an offgrid boat, or an offgrid yacht.
