You won't believe these scrapped emotions that almost made it into Inside Out 2? Hope, a yellow character with a magical wand, was initially planned to join the mix but got combined with Joy due to their optimistic nature. Pessimism, a character donning an old-fashioned suit, was designed to believe everything would go wrong but was later merged with Anxiety. Love/Passion, the cute heart-shaped emotion, was set to portray Riley's affection and budding feelings, but unfortunately didn't make the cut. Scheidenfreude, a chubby character in German attire, symbolizing the satisfaction from others' misfortune, was considered but left out for audience clarity. Covetousness had a second, more sinister version—a thin man in a green suit—but was deemed too frightening for Inside Out's non-explicit villain theme. Guilt, depicted as a large purple character, was considered but ultimately replaced by Embarrassed for clarity in explaining emotions. Pride, a comedic character with a haughty demeanor, and Irritation, a chaos-inducing scribble cloud, were also sidelined. Which emotion would you have liked to see the most?
