KLR kickstand mod so that stand opens further. KLRs have a known issue where they can "walk" forward when parked on a decline. I had this happen once and the bike almost went down (thankfully, I caught it).

I didn't need the bike to lean over further on it's stand. The problem was the stand didn't open far enough to get a good "lock", and prevent the bike from rolling forward under it's own weight.

Rather than invest in an aftermarket stand, I just took some material off of the kickstand "stop" with an angle grinder and flap wheel. Now it opens a bit further and you'd have to try hard to get it to roll forward and come off the stand.

Be careful with the grinder. The metal came off quick. Just a few light passes and then I touched up the bare metal with some black touch up paint to avoid rust (not shown in the video).
