Well, well, well. It’s been quite a while since we have spoken hasn’t it? In fact just over a year since my last video. I’ve gotten married, lived overseas with my wife for about 6 months. Returned to Australia (about 2 months before covid shut all international travel down) knocked my wife up, then needed to get a normal 9-5 job, move into a bigger place. And then my son was born. So I haven’t had a lot of time for YouTube, I’m still figuring out how to be a dad and I really wanted to be there for my kid, especially for the first year. And frankly, movies have just kinda sucked over the last few years. The MCU peaked with Endgame I think, and the Star Wars brand is in the gutter. Sure there might be a few sparks of quality, but nothing to get to excited about. But you know, in a weird way that’s why I want to come back, not just because things have started to settle down in my offline life now. But also because I think we will begin seeing something very special begin to happen in the next few years. And I want to be a part of it, and perhaps with the help of all you guys, maybe even help to usher in this new wave. To be the top of the spear, edge of the knife, crack of my ass. I think the creatively bankrupt state of entertainment, leave a big demand for good quality stories, they are not cliched messes or political tools. As human beings we all love a good story, and if Hollywood doesn’t deal in them anymore, it doesn’t matter, all Hollywood ever was, were gatekeepers anyway. We don’t need to rely on Hollywood to make good stories anymore, we can do it ourselves. I think this maybe the bugging of a new wave of original projects, made by regular people, completely circumventing the Hollywood system. An independent movie gold rush if you will. For the sake of discussion, let’s call this Interactive Movies. Because independent movies made for an online audience Interact with the audience, in a way that Legacy Movies simply don’t. And not only do I want to be a part of the Interactive Movies wave, with the support of you guys, I believe we can actually spearhead it, and blow this thing wide open. And this my friends, is why I’m returning to YouTube. Not to review legacy movies, but to make Interactive Movies, and to put them right here, for everyone to view, free of charge, the way it should be. This is bandit version 2.0, and this time, we have a new drive and a new focus.
