Hello neighbors and friends, I'm Steven here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at this Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver. It is a custom fit and it's gonna give you a 2" receiver tube opening when it's installed. Now folks, this is a custom fit. It does fit the years 2020 through the current years of the GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado, both the 2500 and 3500 series trucks. Please make sure you check our fit guide etrailer.com, top center of the page, enter the year, make, and model, any other information it asks for.

Make sure you get the right parts the first time please. Now again, this does install on those trucks. I want to pop up a picture here. This is our picture locally of it installed on a '23 Chevy Silverado 3500. You can kind of see it down there below the bumper.

You do see a little bit of it. Now keep in mind this is as close to level the bumper as we could take a photo. Now it is from the side sticking out below the bumper, or rather, it does not go past the front of the bumper, so I think it's a nice sleek, up there tight out of the way installation myself. Now that being said, why would you need a front hitch Well, let's say you want to put a winch in the front, maybe a spare tire carrier, a snow plow possibly, a cargo carrier for your trip or just simply you don't wanna back a trailer in. You can just flip the vehicle around, put a ball mount in the front of the truck or the vehicle and then drive the trailer straight where the way you can easily put it in place, maybe launch a boat, stuff like that.

Depends on what your mind can think of. I think this may just make that kind of stuff a lot easier. Now it is a very easy installation. It's a bolt-on installation. There is no welding whatsoever required to install this.

You do get the complete hardware kit included and you also get the instructions included and you also get lifetime technical support from us here at etrailer.com. Now with the installation, I wanna point out you do get all the hardware here that I mentioned, some spacer blocks. These guys here that are got that square hole in 'em, these actually go usually up inside the frame of the vehicle. And then you have a fish wire here that gets installed to pull these bolts back through the frame and then through this inside the frame, that kinda locks in place and then it can't turn inside the frame. And that's kind of what's holding it while you're tightening nuts and stuff. Now that being said, on this particular year, make, and model, you're gonna need an 18 millimeter socket or wrench. You will remove some bolts from the vehicle frame up in the front. You will reuse some hardware, not all. And if needed, you may have to trim the plastic fascia where the tube would stick out of. Again, every vehicle's different, every bumper fits a little different. Sometimes you have to trim a little bit, sometimes you have to trim nothing. So again, just keep that in mind. You may have to do some trimming there. Now, while I gotta zoomed in, I wanna kind of spin it here on the turntable just so you can kind of see all sides of it. Again, this is a front mounted hitch. You do have that same hitch pin hole. The way your ball mount, generator, like I said, snow pile, whatever you're putting up there, could safely be attached. It's a very nice heavy duty steel construction. Very beautiful black powder coated finish that's gonna prevent the rust, corrosion, that kind of stuff. And again, this is custom to your vehicle. So no drilling, should be a pretty simple install. We do have videos online of us installing this again on a 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500. It's the same process for most other trucks that it fits. Again, just check the instructions. Now this is a nice sturdy, again, steel square tube design. It was assembled here in the USA. Now this has a line pull of 9,000 pounds. So let's say you were using it for like the winch and you we inchesre pulling out, it's 9,000 pounds rated line pull, a vertical 500 pound rating, and a gross trailer weight rating of 5,000 pounds. And again, it is that standard 2" by 2" receiver opening. And the pinhole is a 5/8" round hole. Folks, it has a nice limited lifetime warranty. I think you're gonna be very happy with it. I know, I think the install looks very good again on that truck. There's a popup of that real quick again. Again, it's a nice hidden install I think, that's ground level looking towards it, you don't really notice it too much from far away. So if you're worried about the lo
