In 1966, the Ford GT40 beat then dominant Ferrari, taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the most famous endurance race of all time. The GT40 would then go on to win 3 more years till 1969, being the first American car to win at Le Mans. In 2002, Ford announced the Ford GT, a faithful tribute to the original. Production of the first generation lasted from 2005-2006, with a 2nd generation announced in the mid 2010s.

In Hot Pursuit, the GT is a Tier 4 Exotic. The car is a jack of many trades, but master of none. Thanks to its supercharged engine, the GT accelerates decently fast. Its top speed is also decent, even better with nitro, and said nitro is also decently strong. Durability-wise it isn't good, but also not bad. The only downside of the GT is its handling; its unpredictable with it being responsive one moment, then understeery the next. Like all cars in this game, the GT can be driven proficiently and pull some crazy wins, just like its 1960s predecessor.

To commemorate its Le-Mans victories, all the GTs in this video have liveries inspired by notable GT40s that participated in the 24 Hours of Daytona and 24 Hours of Le Mans, along with a quote from a certain movie at the end of the video.
