On October 10, 2020, supercar manufacturer SSC North America set a production car speed record with its new Tuatara hypercar. British professional race driver Oliver Webb made two passes on the 7-mile stretch of Nevada highway that averaged 316 mph—that's the official record—with a top speed of 331 mph.
