Heavenly Father, the evening comes, the day is done. Let peace wash over my household throughout the dark of night and in the few still hours of the next morning. Wipe away our troubles. Cleanse us of worry and doubt. Through You, may Your magnificent good be our protection forevermore. O my God, at the end of this day I thank You most heartily for all the graces I have received from You. I am sorry that I have not made better use of them. I am sorry for all the sins I have committed against You. Forgive me, O my God, and graciously protect me this night. Blessed Virgin Mary, my dear heavenly mother, take me under your protection. St. Joseph, my dear Guardian Angel, and all you saints of God, pray for me. Sweet Jesus, have pity on all poor sinners, and save them from hell. Have mercy on the suffering souls in purgatory. Amen. That awake, we may keep watch with Christ, and asleep, rest in his peace.
Hear us, O Holy Lord, Almighty Father, eternal God: and deign to send Your holy angel from heaven to guard, cherish, protect, visit, and defend all who dwell in this house. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. I depend on you, my good and gracious Father. I trust you to sustain me and to wake me with fresh energy in the morning. Most of all, thank you that you have brought me into a relationship with you. That I am your child and that you delight in me. Thank you that through Jesus, all my sins are forgiven. Thank you that you are my Father and you delight to bless me. As I go to sleep, I want to express my joy and thankfulness.
Uplift my Spirit, oh Lord. Give me peace, give me joy. Give me happiness. I need hope. You alone can turn this around, for You are magnificent, and wonderful, and powerful and will never leave me or forsake me. I am your child and whatever I ask for, I surely will receive. Worry ends where faith begins, and I trust that You, Oh God, will lead me to victory. Be with me every day as victory approaches at the Throne of grace and mercy. Dear Father, continue speaking to me every moment of every day. Allow me to know the perfect peace that only You can provide. Above everything, protect my mind and actions so that the enemy might not get through to me.
