Diane Carlson Evans served as a U.S. Army nurse during the Vietnam War in the burn unit of the 36th Evacuation Hospital in Vung Tau and later the 71st Evacuation Hospital at Pleiku. She is also Founder and President of the Vietnam Women's Memorial Foundation.
