Come check out our Bringing Back Broadway photo gallery on the 3rd floor of the pedestrian bridge in City Hall thru January 24!

While our public/private initiative is coming to end, it has been an incredible ride – with a lot of #HardWork & accomplishments along the way in our efforts to revitalize one of the City of LA’s most historic streets.

Ten years later we have a revitalized, engaged, and rejuvenated #HistoricCore.

With well over one billion dollars invested, Broadway is rising up again.

Eight of the street’s 12 historic theaters are now active with #entertainment and #retail use.

We created an Entertainment Overlay Zone to encourage new businesses and #nightlife on Broadway, adopted the Broadway Sign Ordinance to encourage the re-creation and restoration of historic signs, like those vertical “blade signs” associated with Broadways’ heyday.

We installed one of the #CityofLA’s first large-scale #CompleteStreet Road Diet – creating an expanded pedestrian area along Broadway.

The #DowntownLA #Streetcar has secured $590M in funding for its construction and operation. Now we are working on developing a public/private agreement so we can move up Measure M dollars and get this project in the ground sooner!

And this year we completed our $750,000 Façade Lighting program, enhancing the architectural beauty of nine beloved buildings along Broadway.

I can't express how honored I have been to work with such an amazing team to make this happen – thank you all for your assistance. Please join us for #NightonBroadway on Jan. 27 to celebrate the culmination of #BringingBackBroadway! It’s free and will offer something for everyone! #CD14
