►Replacing your BMW E46 M3 sway bars can be a relatively cheap upgrade that instantly improves driving feel and performance. Larger and stiffer bars will reduce body roll, allowing the springs and dampers to control mid-corner bumps and undulation better. Depending on which bar was replaced and how large your aftermarket upgrade is, understeer will be reduced, and oversteer will become more prominent.

Along with the sway bars, you'll need the right-size bushings and a set of adjustable drop links. The drop links are a critical part as the sway bar needs to sit at the right angle for its best performance. A lowered car will have different measurements, making the stock drop links incorrect for the application.

Wrench along with Gareth Foley, FCP Euro's BMW Expert, as he replaces the front and rear sway bars on an E46 M3.
