Another delightful evening on Hump Day Wednesday as dogs meet & greet with our lakeside neighbors. And one doggie in particular cannot get enough of playing "fetch" with her favorite ball. I'm only sorry I missed (just before recording this video) of a passing resident who witnessed the dog's ball go into the lake. And the dog's owner said: "Oh well, looks like we'll have to buy a new ball." However, the walking bypassing resident who appeared as an elderly lady decided to attempt retrieving the dog's ball by getting down on her hands & knees at the edge of the lake's bank and use a long stick to reel in the floating ball. But!,.. just a bit short in reaching the ball, she laid flat on her belly with her waist hanging over the bank's edge, and almost in the water herself, she managed to stretch with her stick at arms length, and pull the floating ball back up to the edge of the bank with a masterful pull back swing of the stick.
All of us were surprised (even the dog!), and congratulated her on this unexpected outcome. Immediately thereafter, the dog 🐕 was back in "play mode" with countless tosses of playing fetch! Always an unexpected adventure or surprise when taking a lakeside stroll at my Coconut Creek home.🏡🚣
