The IAI Artist Residency is a monthly video series where new voices can produce episodes on this channel! Selected artists will be provided $600 to create their episode within one month of an agreed upon start date.

Application requirements:
• A video submission detailing your episode concept. Film yourself explaining what you'd like to do, how you'd like to structure the episode, and tell me a little about yourself! You can also provide details of how you might utilize the budget, but this is not required. The $600 can be used however you wish - if you already have a digital camera/mic and all the resources you need to produce the episode, you could pocket the money.

• The ability to use or rent video/audio tools to produce the episode. This could be a DSLR, mirrorless camera, microphone, etc. Some experience is a bonus, but you could utilize a portion of the budget to have a friend help you record. I can also consult with you on how to go about filming, what tools could be helpful, and anything else you have questions about. I'm here for you on the backend to help however I can.

• Include the soonest date you could begin production on your episode. You will be given one month from that start date to complete it, if selected.

• Ability to deliver the video/audio files. The hope is that you can compile a basic edit in iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc, or hire a friend to do so. Then, I will smooth it out, add graphics, and music. If you are completely unfamiliar with editing, you can alternatively provide a "script" which linearly describes the flow of the episode with clip names and some time codes.

• There is no language requirement, though the episode will be subtitled in English.

Because this is uncharted territory, I won't yet be specifying how many artists will be selected - I have to see how this submission process goes and what people's level of comfort/experience is with this undertaking.
