Leigh Girvin grew up in Breckenridge, Colorado, arriving as a young girl in the early 1970s with her family. After graduating from Breckenridge Elementary School and Summit High School, she went back east to study at Amherst College, then hurried home to Colorado as soon as she could. Leigh served as the executive director of two local non-profits before embarking on her history career. She currently works as a guide and docent for the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance, and records oral histories from long-time and long-ago locals for archival preservation. Leigh has also served on various planning commissions for over 25 years, helping to shape her community.
