In this interview with the EV Club of CT President Barry Kresch, I learn details from this expert around my home state of CT's seemingly slow adoption of Advanced Clean Car II and why I can't buy a Tesla in the state I live in (unless I go to Federal Tribal Lands at Mohegan Sun)

Some interesting points from Barry: A recent court challenge to the service center Rivian is building in Shelton has not been successful. We are told that Rivian has broken ground. What is particularly interesting here is that they plan to deliver vehicles. There will be no showroom and no sales staff. But delivery would be a big win. The dealership plaintiff lost the lawsuit largely as a result of the way the judge framed it as being irrelevant because it appealed a zoning decision. It didn't really address the merits of the franchise law. So, could this mean there is another shoe to drop?

Also, we are hearing that Tesla plans to push all CT deliveries to Mohegan, so no more Mt. Kisco for me??? It's possible that there may be an exception if one buys a vehicle in inventory at Mt. Kisco though. An advantage of taking delivery at Mohegan Sun Casino Location located on Federal lands within the state of CT is that the vehicle will be delivered with a hard plate. No more of this business of a temp plate and transferring of registration. Interesting tidbit: My county of Fairfield is home to 40% of EVs in CT and 46% of Teslas.
