During the Vietnam War, the U.S. military bombed neighboring Laos. Officially, America was never at war with this Southeast Asian country, but it dropped more than 2.5 million tons of bombs on the country. That is more than the total number of bombs U.S. military dropped on Germany and Japan during World War II.
