It takes about 15 minutes to hike the Petoskey Breakwall and Petoskey Lighthouse. The Breakwall is Protects the Petoskey Marina from Lake Michigan waves and storms. The Breakwall & Light House has been rebuilt 3 times after being destroyed by storms.

It was first destroyed by a storm in 1912 and was rebuilt before being destroyed again in 1924. Rebuilding was then completed in 1930 and the Breakwall and Lighthouse stood until 2005 in which a winter storm again destroyed the lighthouse. In 2009 an upgrade and expansion of the breakwall was completed and it has since held up to everything nature can throw at it.

The Petoskey Marina is located on the Southeast end of Little Traverse Bay along lake Michigan.

This Petoskey Hike takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and there is parking located in the park connected to the light house. This is a great spot for sunset hikes along lake Michigan or even going fishing in Petoskey along Lake Michigan.
