Ronda is a must see town in the Spanish province of Málaga, located about 105 km (65 mi) west of the city of Málaga, within the autonomous community of Andalusia. Population is about 35,000 inhabitants plus the two of us, Ronda is known for its cliff-side location and a deep chasm that carries the Guadalevín River and divides the town of new and old.
Around Ronda are remains of prehistoric settlements dating to the Neolithic Age and early Roman, Arabic and Christian influences make up the city's infrastructure.
We were on a two week bus and train trip throughout central and southern Spain and fell in love with Ronda! We plan to go back but this time for a couple months...some of the best Spanish wine we have tasted come from this rich agricultural region.
