Over the past decade, the Brazilian ecosystem has matured. In the past two years alone, we saw the first tech IPOs, unicorn acquisitions, the rise of seed and growth stage funds and records in venture capital investments. However, we are still lagging behind on some base pillars of ecosystems such as Silicon Valley and China. First, we do not have enough engineers graduating every year. Second, academia is still disconnected from the tech world.

How does one of the largest VC funds in the world see the evolution of the Brazilian tech/innovation/ entrepreneurship ecosystem evolving since it first established a presence in the country? And how does it see that going forward?
