Here's some footage from the official opening of Scoil Bhride Primary School on the first of February, 1988 (St Brigid's Day) by Education Minister Mary O'Rourke. After all the speeches and formalities had been completed the Minister and Bishop Conway planted an oak tree sapling in the school grounds to commerorate this official opening.
