Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy brought so many great J.R.R. Tolkien characters to life on the big screen. Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf, and Gimli are now some of the most beloved characters in the fantasy adventure genre.

The films also made Viggo Mortenson and Orlando Bloom into major stars. Indeed, The Lord of The Rings assembled a fine cast of actors that included the talents of Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, and Christopher Lee.
