MORE ABOUT THE MUSICAL:

Originally starring Sarah Brightman, Michael Crawford and Steve Barton in the roles of Christine, Phantom and Raoul, The Phantom of the Opera opened in the West End, London in 1986 and on Broadway in New York in 1988, both with the same main cast!

The eponymous novel was written by the Frenchman, Gaston Leroux, while the musical was composed and co-written by famed producer
Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The story takes place in the late 19th century in Paris! A musical genius, the Phantom, is banished from society, because of his physical facial deformations and hides in the dungeons of an Opera in Paris.
