Suzuki has finally wrapped off the new Swift concept 2024 at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. It sports an evolutionary design but has been upgraded with a host of new technologies both inside and outside the cabin.

The 2024 Suzuki Swift follows the same sporty design language as its predecessors. The design of the Swift has evolved with a curvier stance but a couple of design elements retain its sporty demeanour. For instance, it now gets a new set of angular LED headlights, incorporating L-shaped LED DRLs. The radiator grille looks smaller in size and features gloss black surrounds. Ample changes have also been made to the rear profile in the form of LED tail lights with C-shaped elements and a sportier rear bumper. It is worth mentioning that the rear door handles of the new Swift now sit on the doors, rather than on the C-pillars in the current Swift.

The 2024 Suzuki Swift measures 3,860 mm long, 1,695 mm wide, and 1,500 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. These figures are nearly identical to the outgoing model.

The revised interior boasts an updated centre console and dashboard along with a multi-functional flat-bottom steering wheel. Other highlights are a nine-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, push button start/stop, new air conditioning vents and toggle controls, a new climate control display and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

The Japanese carmaker will introduce the new Z-Series engine to replace the K-Series unit. The Z12 engine will make its debut in the new generation Swift next year. It will replace the K12, 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine with a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated motor.

the specifications of this engine are yet to be known officially. It is expected to offer a similar power output but the torque would be higher. Since it is down to 3 cylinders and each cylinder now at 400cc in capacity, the volumetric efficiency and torque could improve.
