The Russian S-350 Vityaz anti-aircraft missile system shot down a Ukrainian aircraft while operating in fully automatic mode, RIA reported. The report claims that the new Russian anti-aircraft system shot down the aircraft without an operator’s participation. The system’s missiles shot down several of Ukraine’s combat aircraft and drones, RIA Novosti reported. The report also said that the combat crew, at the same time, only controlled the operation of the complex. In August 2022, a video suggested that the S-350 Vityaz was deployed less than 40 miles from the Ukrainian border. The air defence system is designed to protect against attacks by modern and advanced air attack weapons.
