No time to snooze. Get out of bed. It's time for Kidavision on ABC, and that means five hours of Saturday morning cartoons from the 1980's. So pour a bowl of cereal, put on your best pair of footie pajamas, and get comfy.

This is a compilation video I put together using footage of commercials and episodes from shows that played on Saturday mornings (from 8 in the morning to one in the afternoon) on ABC in the year 1988. It follows a fall 1988 schedule for ABC Saturday mornings, as well as taking inspiration from 1987 and 1989 schedules. Certain shows (like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) can't be used for copyright reasons. These shows were substituted with other great shows that played on ABC around the same time. Think of it as a retro remix or a bootleg Saturday morning broadcast.

This is the one hundred third television broadcast compilation video I've uploaded to Youtube, as well as the third time I've done an ABC line-up, and the third time I've done an 80's schedule. For me personally, before Fox Kids came about, ABC was typically my go-to channel on Saturday mornings (except when Pee-Wee's Playhouse came on, then I was switching over to watch that). With this video, The Real Ghostbusters as well as The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show would have been hour long, but I cut them down to half hour blocks to feature more shows. It also would have been Slimer and The Real Ghostbusters in late 1988, but I went with just The Real Ghostbusters (which would have still been playing in early 1988) because the added on Slimer cartoons just weren't that good (and it would have been an hour long). The episode of The Flintstones Kids is actually it's anti-drug special, which did air on television, because actual episodes of that show are blocked on Youtube. Thankfully the special is really good and probably more interesting than a normal episode of the series. At any rate, I had a blast making this, so I hope you have a good one watching it.
