The Transit Costs Project team of Eric Goldwyn, Alon Levy, Elif Ensari, and Marco Chitti hosted an event to celebrate the conclusion of their research on the cost drivers of transit-infrastructure projects at the Marron offices at 370 Jay Street in Brooklyn, New York. There was a moderated session with Aaron Gordon, a journalist who has covered these issues for Vice, discussing the work, what they have learned, their recommendations to reduce the costs of transit projects in the United States, and what they are working on next.

To date, the group has collected a database of more than 900 transit projects spanning more than 20,000 kilometers in nearly 60 countries. Based on this data set, they decided to carryout in-depth case studies on specific projects or groups of projects in Milan, Turin, Rome, Naples, Istanbul, Stockholm, Massachusetts, and New York.
