UPDATE: This check engine light was caused by; " a bad ground sensor on the negative battery cable".
This kind of sounds ho-key. Can anyone confirm that there's a 'ground sensor'? I've never heard of one, but it's been years since I've been a Technician.
We were called by the dealership on Friday the 7th to give consent for a Technician to drive our truck home. I said, 'yes' (I want to give them every opportunity to get this truck right). On the next day (Saturday), we were told 'your truck is ready!' We went to pick it up and made it LITERALLY 1/2 mile and the check engine light was back on.
Timeline:
02NOV2019 - bought the truck (new - not used)
In this time we have had 3x check engine lights
05DEC2019 - in the shop (at the dealership). This was CEL #3.
08FEB2020 - told we could pick up the truck, that it was fixed
08FEB2020 - back in the shop. This is CEL #4.
