Isabella Marin RN, BSN was diagnosed with vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (vEDS) in 2004. She is the only person in her family with vEDS, and up until recently, was the only person in her city with the vascular type of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
After many years of struggling to educate doctors and raise awareness, she has devoted her life to becoming a vEDS advocate. She holds two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and nursing. Her lifelong goal is to use her own patient experiences and education background to help those diagnosed with vEDS become their own advocates, and to help improve the quality of life for those affected.
